Who we are

Helica is built, operated, and wholly owned by Epic Teddy vof.

Minimal data by default

Helica operates on a principle of collecting the least amount of personal data possible. In practice, this means we don't collect any personal data from visits to our website or application, and what data we do collect is used in the most limited way possible. We will never collect more data beyond what we need to provide Helica.

What we do process

• Account data (email address, hashed passwords) so you can log into your account and use Helica.
• Anonymous usage metrics (page views, browser and device type) so we know which areas need the most improvements.
• Billing information (VAT ID, billing address) so we can process your payments.
• Technical data (IP address) for account security and to detect abuse.
• User-uploaded content so you can manage your information on Helica.

EU-first

Helica, as well as your data, lives on EU-based servers. Your information only crosses outside of the EU, when requested by a user outside of the EU.

All data processors we use (e.g. hosting provider, email server, payment processing) are EU-based as well. Note that some of these subprocessors may also operate outside of the EU, but your information is stored in European data centers.

Data retention

We store your data for as long as your account is active.

When you delete your account we erase your data with it, except for information that we're required by law to keep around (e.g. invoice records).

Your rights

At any time you may ask to access the data we have about you, rectify or erase it, or restrict its processing. Note that you may lose access to your Helica account if we need to remove data that we need to provide the service.
